About The OBKC®

The Original Bully Kennel Club® or OBKC® for short, was founded in Los Angeles Ca. in 2003, initially as ``The Bully Kennel Club`` or ``BKC`` for short by the Legendary dog man; Larry Duran (Who also founded the LEGENDARY ``BLUE NATION KENNELS``). The OBKC® was the first registry to run and name the American Bully breed, bar-none. We wrote and set the Standard for the American Bully and the rest is history. The inaugural event was broadcast nation-wide on Jimmy Kimmel Live, on ABC in June of 2004. The ``BKC`` was purchased by Rio Jones by way of ``Mergers & Acquisitions`` in August of 2016 and later changed to the now, OBKC®. The savvy breeder combined his street knowledge with his Military, book, and dog knowledge, and later created innovative ways for breeders and enthusiasts to enjoy and change the American Bully breed. The OBKC® is the first registry to label and run The ``Foundation Bully®``, where breeders openly document the creation of the American Bully breed, which used the APBT/AmStaff and many different types of Bulldog and Mastiff breeds. Our customer service has a Standard of Excellence at every level, every customer. Our mission is to truly be the people's registry with an emphasis on the family environment. We service most Brachycephalic Breeds of the world, but focus on transcending the American Bully breed and it's 3 new classes ( Foundation, Ex-Am, & Exotic).
